Hello again! As I write this, it is becoming colder and colder here in Japan. The Forecast Channel on my Wii has started to show temperatures in the minuses while it's been snowing outside the window in Wii Room. This month has been minor for WiiLink development, and was mostly focused on backends, we still have a little bit to show you. Let's take a look!
BREAKING: Things now happen
The News Channel has finally returned after over a year of maintenance! Users can now enjoy the channel in any country, as long as the language is set to English. Other languages are currently in development, so stay tuned! An update is required to use the service. Make sure to download the newest version of the patcher and download the News Channel if you are experiencing issues.
Other fixes
Digicam pictures and Dolphin usage works again! No additional work is required to use these services again, but if you still experience issues you can get help on our Discord server or our dedicated forum.
Learning the ropes with Sudomemo
WiiLink has partnered with Sudomemo to distribute their brand new series 12 Principles of Animation for free on Wii Room! This 12-part limited series will explore the different principles of animation, educate you and showcase them in action via various different flipnotes! Episode 1 is available now, and new episodes will be available exclusively for free on Wii Room and on the Sudomemo Patreon.

We've moved!
Our website has now properly switched to wiilink.ca! The domain wiilink24.com has now been retired and will redirect you to wiilink.ca. Yes, we're Canadian now.
Backend changes for complete nerds
We‘ve switched our backend to use the Contentful CMS, a backend helping us write and publish news posts (like the very one you’re currently reading). This helps us publish news posts regularly! New posts are planned every month.
New artwork
Our very own flatbeek (Creator, Sound Chamber) has created a poster promoting the Check Mii Out Channel!

Oops. Seems like they're stretched a bit. You can see the proper version on Bluesky and Discord. If you would like to see more of their artwork, you can follow their project on Bluesky to make a piece of artwork every week. Check them out!
This month was filled with a lot of minor fixes and backend work. While we like to release big things and have everyone use new services or engage with new content, the reality is many things has to happen behind the scenes before we can deliver that to all of you. Regardless, we hope you've enjoyed this month and continue to use WiiLink in the future. See you soon!
