Did you know? This is the only issue of WiiLink News that will ever be published on September 2025. Please savor this moment. It’s the WiiLink News!
Will this be the end?
Through December to April, we released 7 episodes of Pineapple News; a comedy news parody show. After 5 months, it finally returns. With the news show decommissioned, what will Pineapple do? The season finale is available now on Wii Room, but you can also watch the teaser trailer here. The full series is also viewable on Wii Room.
More WiiLink Originals!
Other than the Pineapple News special, we have a brand new episode of Nintendo Daily Life on Wii Room coming! Homebrew Tea is on break this month as there’s not much news to report, but we instead have a special edition of Homebrew Tea Xtras! Check out the Homebrew Tea Bloopers, collecting failed takes from the past year of episodes. Both episodes are coming tonight, with Nintendo Daily Life premiering at 9pm CT, and Homebrew Tea Xtras an hour later at 10pm CT.

Forming (website) links
In March, we introduced Forming Links, a segment of our newsletter interviewing people behind our creations. Recently, we've made a convenient way to view all of them through the Forming Links section. This is a new page accessible either through hovering on the news button, or through the news tab itself. You can check it out here.

A 74% hardcore update
Remember the 3DS and Wii U eShops? They had a recommendations feature, where you could rate games and recommend them to different demographics. This feature was also on Nintendo Channel! We’ve updated Nintendo Channel to allow extensive viewing of recommendation stats, so you can find the next 15 year old game to play. (Feature only applies to channels. Recommended data for homebrew applications on the Homebrew Channel cannot be created.)

A gallery expanded
On Wii Room, rooms have image galleries, where several full screen images can be shown to explain how to install programs, or show off new promotions. Previously, we could only have up to three images on one menu. Thanks to the work of Sketch and Alex, this limit has been greatly expanded up to 50! To show off what this allows us to do, the Sudomemo room has been updated (thanks to Rob, who did that job for me when I could not be bothered), with much more images and content.
The search for, um, uhhhhh
You can now once again use searching on Wii Room. This will let you search for videos with keywords instead of looking through categories. Try it out!
This stream is sponsored by Froot Loops
On September 27th, we tried casual streaming on YouTube! This is something we want to do in the future as a way for us to interact more directly with you all. These streams are mostly unplanned, so we won’t be able to inform you of these in advance. There is no set schedule, but feel free to join if you see us on YouTube. We would also love to thank Mr. Meow on YouTube, for buying Sketch a box of Froot Loops. We asked Sketch for comment and he replied with:
yes of course
just follow your nose
That’s my f*cking mayor.

That’s it for this month! It was a very eventful month, by which I mean most of the month had nothing until the last week. Incredible. Aside from the news, I personally have been here for two years now! Specifically, it’s been two years since I joined the team, and it’s just over a year since I became the writer of the WiiLink newsletter. It feels weird knowing that since discovering the project in 2021, I’ve ended up on the other side actually working for the thing. Out of the many years of starting and quitting projects (why yes I do have ADHD) this is the most consistently I’ve been able to commit to something and it feels good to actually finish things once in a while! I don’t want to take up too much of your time, but thank you. I’ll see you next month.
