Summer has fully begun! This means we finally get to spend every day in or hastily searching for an air conditioned room. Hooray. As the heat gets worse everyday, we have a small gift for you…
It’s the WiiLink News! Stay until the end for a special announcement.
Create your empire
On July 13th, we completely overhauled our internal structure for WiiLink Accounts to allow support for future services such as Food Channel JustEat and WiiLink WFC. This update isn't just an internal overhaul though, as we've added a long requested feature with this update; multi system linking!
That's right; your WiiLink Account can now be linked to multiple systems at once, meaning if you have a second Wii system you will be able to link it to your account without issues. Or, perhaps use this as an excuse to link your empire of 27 Wiis all to one single account. We won't judge.
To use the new account system, you'll need to download a new version of the account linker, available to download here. The new linker also scraps the need for a QR code, instead asking you to input a simple 5 digit code on a website, just how Reggie intended.
In addition, the login page can now remember your password, if you so wish. Just check the box on the page that reads “Remember me on this device”.
This update could not have been possible without Burrito, Kouacc, Alex and the entire development team! Their help was invaluable.
The next generation
As we teased last month, we’ve been getting new team members to help with the growing scope of the content division. I’m happy to say that as of July 15, we have completed the process! We still have minor things to take care of, but we’ve concluded the majority of the process and have onboarded our new cast. Meet:
Clownfish (they/any, general help)
Hi I'm Clownfish. I like hitting buttons to make stuff work and am passionate about media preservation. I'm honored to be a part of the WiiLink team and I'm so excited to say that I'm ready for what we'll do next.
nami1 (he/him, Nintendo Channel)
Hey yall, I’m nami1. I’ve been apart of the WiiLink community since roughly the beginning of 2023. I was also a contributor to the website during that time as well. It’s been an honor to finally be apart of the team. See you guys around!
Rob (he/him, Nintendo Channel, encoding)
Hyea, I'm Rob! I'm passionate about all things Wii and DSi. My favorite food is Vegemite and I will fight anyone who says it's disgusting.
Techno Eggnog (he/they, indev project)
Hi, I'm Techno! I've been fascinated by WiiLink since I got into Wii homebrew just about a year ago. As one of the new content team members, hope to bring more exciting content to WiiLink's growing user base.
Ninuno (he/him, Mii Contest Channel)
Hi, I’m Emmet. I really like Radiohead and Pink Floyd. I’ve been following the homebrewing scene for the Wii and 3DS since I was 9 years old, and I’m thrilled to be working for WiiLink! I’m ecstatic to see what’s coming up for the future.
Alpine (they/them, communications)
Heyo, I’m Alpine. I’ve been around the Wii homebrew scene since roughly 2014. I’m very excited to be part of the WiiLink team, and I am looking forward to seeing what we’ll be working on for you all to enjoy!
These new members will be taking care of content management, such as encoding videos, scheduling contests and more, and will be seen with the appropriate roles in the public Discord server. Thank you to everyone who applied!
Passing through the Internet

We have collaborated with NetPass to bring users the NetPass room, a brand new room promoting the StreetPass revival service letting players use the feature across the Internet. This collaboration has been in the works for several months so please enjoy! The room will explain how to use NetPass, and existing users can get an exclusive gift from the room. You can install NetPass on your 3DS from their official site.
It's TV Time!
Kirby TV Channel returns with another rerun! This will be the 5th run of episodes provided by WiiLink. Like usual, New episodes come out regularly with each episode staying on the channel for 3 days. The run only lasts until December 13th, 2025 so check out the channel before it's too late! The episodes found in this run also lacks the 4kids watermark, which has been in the channel previously.

Additionally, this run is the first run of episodes since the service shut down to support multiple languages! On July 29th, we added support for the Spanish, French, Italian and German versions of the series. If your Wii is set to one of the supported languages, the English episodes are replaced with the appropriate versions.
We are so extremely back
For the past several months, some WiiLink services has either been offline or not supported due to them not having dedicated teams or having insufficient development. Thanks to our new team members as well as Sketch, Photo Prints Channel, Mii Contest Channel and Nintendo Channel are now back and have new content! Additionally, Nintendo Channel will be supported with banners promoting the Nintendo Switch 2, with games such as Donkey Kong Bananza and Splatoon Raiders.
Life continues
Episode 2 of Nintendo Daily Life is available through Wii Room. We might have learned if you can feed yourself with a DS, but can you learn how to walk? Watch the episode to find out.
I just wanna eat
